    Butch followed behind his partner quietly, wearing a similar outfit, albeit darker and more masculine in nature. His hands rested in his pockets and a cigarette hung from his mouth, giving him a vague similarity to a steam engine as he walked.

    Upon reaching the bench, he slumped into the indicated seat in a most unceremonious manner. He accepted the items Cassidy handed him without a word, until she posed the question to him.

    Pulling his cigarette from his mouth, he shrugged. “Hell if I know. Guess we jus’ walk around til’ these stones start reactin’. Maybe if we start walkin’ towards the city’s Pokemon Gym an’ see where that takes us?” He exhaled smoke as he spoke, looking out around the general area. Ever vigilant. Unconsciously, Butch turned the stone around in his hand, as if it might react to his touch.

    Cassidy shrugged and quickly stole the cigarette from Butch’s hands. She took a long drag from what her parents called “the stick of death” and blew the smoke with a sigh. She threw the butt on the floor and grounded it with the heel of her boot before rising to her feet.

    “Well then. Let’s go,” she said. She grabbed her briefcase and held her own meteor shard in her hand, twirling it and contemplating making a necklace with it so as no to lose it.

    The duo walked toward the Gym, grim as their meteors failed to react to anything along the way. Close to the building, however, they thought began to glow a bit but once Cassidy put on her Silph Scope to scan the area, whatever could have been there was gone. Scanning the piece that she officially dubbed a “piece of shit rock,” Cassidy scowled as she noticed that it wasn’t even the rock that glowed, but a small piece of glitter that probably fell from Cassidy’s makeup.

    She sucked her teeth, but immediately perked up as they reached the building. Cassidy looked to Butch and then her piece of shit rock, waiting.

  2. The Hunt

    Cassidy stepped off of the plane that brought her to Vermilion City, clad in a trench coat, glasses and a hat to hide her blonde hair. She held a briefcase in her hand and blended in perfectly with the mass of businessmen and women on trips to the city. Her heels clicked with a casual pace on the floor, so as to not draw attention to herself and she could hear the footsteps of her partner and friend behind her.

    The duo walked out of the airport and continued walking, not once resting until they were a ways away from the airport, most houses and any prying eyes. She approached a bench and sat, patting the seat beside her, indicting her partner to sit.

    “I took the liberty to visit the base to grab some materials before we set out,” she said. She clicked open the briefcase and handed her friend a Silph Scope, an assortment of Master and Ultra Balls and his half of the meteor. 

    “Where do you propose we begin?”

    Oh they’re all well. Sird sent you and Mr. Butch on a mission and she’s also engaged. Carr is doing well also, doing his own thing. As for me, a Rocket Grunt and I going to look for an analyze a Giant Pokemon! It’s going to be so fun!

    Or so I’ve heard. I can’t find Patch Butch and we really need to head out before Ms. Sird comes back. We have a head start and need to be using it or else she might send Jessie and James in our place.
